China’s SMM A00 aluminium ingot price earns RMB40/t today; down 1% W-o-W; Australian Alumina FOB price soars RMB56.81/t

On December 4, the Shanghai Metals Market witnessed a slight hike in aluminium prices to match the US$18,700 per tonne mark on November 29, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price rising by RMB 40 per tonne to close at RMB 18,700 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,720 per tonne.

If we take the aluminium price on November 27 into account, we can calculate a RMB 190 per tonne or 1 per cent Week-on-Week decline in aluminium prices from RMB 18,890 per tonne catalogued that day.

China’s eight major provinces have all experienced a surge in aluminium prices today, with it heightening the most in Foshan by RMB 60 per tonne, to rest at RMB 18,810 per tonne, followed by RMB 50 per tonne escalation in Wuxi and Tianjin, where the aluminium prices stood at RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,760 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium price gained RMB 40 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,700 per tonne, while in Gongyi, it soared by RMB 30 per tonne to officiate at RMB 18,820 per tonne. In Chongqing, Shenyang and Linyi, there have been RMB 20 per tonne elevations, with the first two regions registering a price of RMB 18,730 per tonne and the last one marking RMB 18,780 per tonne.

The low-carbon aluminium price in China has earned RMB 61 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,544 per tonne.

China’s high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have both skipped upward by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 26,400 per tonne and RMB 27,400 per tonne.

The CIF Index of Import Bauxite price has added RMB 0.07 per tonne to close at RMB 497.93 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has skyrocketed by RMB 56.81 per tonne to arrive at RMB 2,378.87 per tonne.

China’s aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A360) prices have both increased by RMB 50 per tonne, stopping at RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price has jumped up the graph by RMB 0.10 per kg to anchor at RMB 21.30 per tonne, with average prices ranging between RMB 21.20 per tonne and RMB 21.40 per tonne.
