China’s A00 aluminium ingot price reflects M-o-M plunge of RMB 480/t; Low carbon aluminium price slumps to RMB 19,458/t

On Friday, December 1, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price added RMB 30 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,660 per tonne. On M-o-M calculation, a plunge of RMB 480 per tonne was recorded from RMB 19,140 per tonne on November 1. Today, the average prices are expected to stand between RMB 18,640 per tonne and RMB 18,680 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 to a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

The price in Gongyi has expanded by RMB 90 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,790 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 60 per tonne in Linyi to clock at RMB 18,760 per tonne. In Chongqing and Hangzhou, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have ascended by RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,710 per tonne and RMB 18,660 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Tianjin have grown by RMB 30 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,750 per tonne, RMB 18,650 per tonne and RMB 18,710 per tonne. Only in Shenyang has the price slumped by RMB 130 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,690 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has also contracted by RMB 178 per tonne to reach RMB 19,458 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A356) have shown no change to settle at RMB 19,300 per tonne. On the same day, aluminium alloy (A380) remained restrained at RMB 20,300 per tonne.As per the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) data, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have remained unchanged at RMB 26,300 per tonne and RMB 27,300 per tonne.
