
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has decreased over the weekend ending Monday, June 5, following two consecutive hikes on June 1 and June 2. According to the Shanghai Metals Market data, the ingot price has slumped by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,410 per tonne but stands higher week-on-week by RMB 50 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 18,390 per tonne and RMB 18,430 per tonne, with a spot contract to trade at a discount price of RMB 20 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.

In Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has plummeted by RMB 170 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,380 per tonne, followed by a decline of RMB 160 per tonne in Hangzhou and Tianjin to RMB 18,410 per tonne. Chongqing and Linyi's primary aluminium ingot price has also shrunk by RMB 160 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,390 per tonne and RMB 18,360 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi and Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has fallen by RMB 150 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,230 per tonne and RMB 18,510 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang has dropped by RMB 130 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,410 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has contracted RMB 140 per tonne to open the week at RMB 19,118 per tonne, found SMM.
In line with the decline of A00 aluminium ingot price, aluminium alloy (A356) price has suffered a loss of RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,150 per tonne as of June 5. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A380) price and aluminium alloys (ADC12) price have decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne, respectively, with average prices ranging between RMB 19,450-19,650 per tonne and RMB 18,450-18,650 per tonne.
Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has dipped by RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.10 per kg. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20-20.2 per kg.
The average alumina spot price has recorded a restraint over the weekend after eight consecutive days of fall since May 23. Since then, till June 2, China’s domestic alumina price has dwindled by RMB 23 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,844 per tonne.
