China’s domestic A00 aluminium ingot price declines but remains above RMB19000/t

On Thursday, October 26, A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded a drop of RMB 70 per tonne after a hike last day. Nevertheless, the price is still standing above RMB 19,000 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. According to the data, A00 aluminium ingot price has come in at RMB 19,020 per tonne as of October 26, with average prices likely to range between RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,040 per tonne. The spot contract is estimated to trade at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

In Foshan, Shenyang, and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 90 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,040 per tonne, RMB 19,050 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne, respectively. In Gongyi and Chongqing, the primary aluminium price has decreased by RMB 70 per tonne to RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,020 per tonne, while the price in Wuxi and Hangzhou has shrunk by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to clock in at RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,020 per tonne, respectively.

China’s domestic low-carbon aluminium has also registered a fall of RMB 88 per tonne on October 26 to settle at RMB 19,885 per tonne, following a surge of RMB 186 per tonne to RMB 19,973 per tonne.

In line with the primary aluminium price fall, China’s domestic aluminium alloy (A356) price has descended by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,700 per tonne on October 26. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne.

However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have remained restrained at RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne, respectively.

Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has dipped by RMB 0.10 per kg to stand at RMB 21.3 per kg. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 21.2-21.4 per kg.
