China’s average alumina spot price marks M-o-M fall of RMB6/t on July 12; A00 aluminium ingot price drops to RMB18,230/t

On Wednesday, July 12, the average alumina spot price in China has grown by RMB 2 per tonne to close at RMB 2,827 per tonne. On M-o-M calculation, the alumina price has fallen by RMB 6 per tonne from RMB 2,833 per tonne recorded on June 12. As of today, the price in Shanxi has grown by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,820 per tonne. On the same day, the alumina prices in both Shandong and Guangxi have gone up by RMB 5 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,790 per tonne and RMB 2,815 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price in China has contracted by RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 18,230 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 70 to RMB 30 per tonne. The average prices may range between RMB 18,210 per tonne and RMB 18,250 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot prices have fallen in almost all the provinces except Tianjin, where it has grown by RMB 10 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,230 per tonne.

On the same day, the prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Hangzhou have dwindled by RMB 40 per tonne to score at RMB 18,270 per tonne and RMB 18,210 per tonne, respectively. The A00 aluminium ingot prices in Shenyang and Linyi have dipped by RMB 20 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,190 per tonne and RMB 18,180 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, the prices have dropped by RMB 10 per tonne, totalling at RMB 18,170 per tonne and RMB 18,250 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has dipped by RMB 30 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,894 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has slumped by RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 18,950 per tonne, with the average prices expected to orbit between RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne. On the same day, the price of (ADC12) and (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 19,450 per tonne.
