
Average alumina spot price in China has recorded a growth of RMB 9 per tonne on Wednesday, January 20, after remaining restrained at RMB 2,367 per tonne in the past two consecutive days. The price today has clocked at RMB 2,376 per tonne, according to Shanghai Metals Market data.

In Shandong and Shanxi, alumina spot price has increased by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2,380 per tonne and RMB 2,395 per tonne, respectively, while that in Henan has inched up by RMB 5 per tonne to RMB 2,390 per tonne.
Australian alumina FOB price has grown by US$ 2 per tonne to stand at US$ 305 per tonne on January 20, found SMM. Imported alumina price has remained restrained at RMB 2,445 per tonne.
Despite the rise in alumina spot price, A00 aluminium ingot price has extended downfall by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,750 per tonne on January 20. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,730 per tonne and RMB 14,770 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 60-100 per tonne.

In Foshan, primary aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 110 per tonne to come in at RMB 14,740 per tonne, followed by the fall of RMB 80 per tonne in Chongqing to RMB 14,740 per tonne. In Shenyang, A00 aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 65 per tonne to RMB 14,815 per tonne, while in Gongyi and Tianjin, the price has decreased by RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 14,670 per tonne and RMB 14,810 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi and Hangzhou, primary aluminium ingot price has declined by RMB 40 per tonne to RMB 14,800 per tonne and RMB 14,825 per tonne, and that in Linyi has slipped by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 14,890 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has decreased as well by RMB 100 per tonne to come in at RMB 15,450 per tonne. The average prices are ranging between RMB 15,400 per tonne and RMB 15,500 per tonne. Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have, however, remained muted at RMB 16,650 per tonne and RMB 17,550 per tonne, respectively.
