China’s A00 aluminium ingot price falls by RMB80/t W-o-W to RMB 19,370/t; Alumina price gains RMB3/t

On Wednesday, October 11, China's A00 aluminium ingot price witnessed a fall of RMB 140 per tonne to RMB 19,370 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,390 per tonne. The spot contract prices may be traded at a premium price of RMB 30 to RMB 70 per tonne. On M-o-M calculation, the A00 aluminium ingot price dropped RMB 80 per tonne from RMB 19,450 per tonne on September 11.

The prices as of today have shown a drop in all the provinces, with the highest in Shenyang, where it has slumped by RMB 180 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,300 per tonne. In Wuxi and Chongqing, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have descended by RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,340 per tonne and RMB 19,350 per tonne. In Gongyi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the prices have dipped by RMB 140 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,230 per tonne, RMB 19,340 per tonne and RMB 19,370 per tonne. On the same day, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have contracted by RMB 110 per tonne in Tianjin and RMB 60 per tonne in Foshan to reside at RMB 19,390 per tonne and RMB 19,170 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has also dipped by RMB 38 per tonne to a halt at RMB 19,993 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have dwindled by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 27,000 per tonne and RMB 28,000 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price has increased by RMB 3 per tonne to reach RMB 2,968 per tonne. The prices in Henan and Guizhou have gained RMB 10 per tonne to record at RMB 2,970 per tonne and RMB 2,955 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has lost RMB0.1 per kg to reside at RMB 21.5 per kg, with the average prices between RMB 21.4 per kg and RMB 21.6 per kg.
