
Raufoss Automotive Components Canada, an auto parts making firm, announced that it has kicked off expansion at its auto parts plant in the Montreal suburbs. The company is using US$2 million in federal assistance from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) to fund the multimillion-dollar project which includes installing a new forging line in the plant.
Raufoss Automotive plans to invest in advanced high-performance equipment at its Boisbriand facility, to help boost its overall production capacity. The company having expertise in aluminium die-casting manufacturing aims at enhancing output significantly in the coming quarters. 
“This investment in innovative technology is excellent news for Raufoss in Boisbriand,” said Jean Meredith, CEO, Raufoss Automotive. “It will allow us to continue building our expertise in aluminium processing and make us more competitive in our market,” he said.
Raufoss Canada’s US-based subsidiary Neuman Aluminum manufactures aluminium vehicle chassis components for a wide range of global automotive clients.
