The Los Angeles Rams, in collaboration with SoFi Stadium and Ball Corporation, organised an event to celebrate National Recycling Day. Over 250 students from Century Park Elementary School in Inglewood, CA, were invited to participate in the event, which aimed to promote recycling and reduce waste.
As part of the event, Rams safety Jordan Fuller visited the school to read to the students and extend the invitation to attend the upcoming event at SoFi Stadium.
The member of the global community relations team at Ball Corporation, Lauren Rodeman, pointed out that the arrangement was to "bring recycling education to the youth of Los Angeles." She magnified how the mere sense of togetherness at the SoFi stadium encouraged a responsible recycling drive.
The senior director of community affairs and engagement at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, Jason Witt, exclaimed: "It's an opportunity to talk about the sustainability methods at SoFi Stadium and the partnership we have with Ball and the LA Rams." He implied that the successful partnership between Ball, SoFi Stadium, and Rams will be fundamental in inspiring an entire community to follow environmentally viable measures that positively impact our Earth.
The students from kindergarten to fifth grade were given an exclusive tour of SoFi Stadium. The purpose of the visit was to educate them about recycling and sustainability in their community. During the tour, they learned about the stadium's impressive recycling efforts. Apart from the tour, the students also enjoyed various activities during lunchtime, including cup designing and building. They also had the opportunity to participate in a football combine on the stadium field, which made it a fun and informative experience for the students.
The Principal of Century Park, Davita McCauley, while talking about the recycling drive, said: "We never know how that's going to encourage them to dream and seek opportunities."
The Principal also explained how beneficial the drive had been for Century Park, the only Los Angeles Unified School District school in Inglewood. McCauley seemed optimistic about the eco-friendly habit that the drive was introducing around the compound, making the young minds more cautious about recycling practices.
The Rams Cheerleaders and mascot, Rampage, took part in an initiative to educate students on the correct identification of recycling bins. Along with that, Ball Corporation provided the students and faculty with branded Recycling Combine jerseys and Green Assist booklets to encourage and promote recycling practices among them.
Ball Corporation's Rodeman specified: "These kids are the next generation of our sustainability leaders."
Posing as an active partner of SoFi Stadium and the Los Angeles Rams, Ball Corporation has brought about several sustainability enhancements to the sports ground. These include the Ball Aluminium Cup, Team Aluminium Brand Ambassadors with Recycling Backpacks, and Aluminium Recycling Machines. Ball is a leading supplier of innovative, sustainable aluminium packaging solutions, and its efforts are a reminder that we can all make a positive impact on the world around us.
