Average spot alumina price in China continues upward track, prebaked anode price registers a quick rise

Average spot alumina price in China moves further up on Sept 14. According to Shanghai Metals Market Statistics, the average spot alumina price has been rising steady from September 1 to stand at RMB 3053/tonne for the month average. On September 14, Thursday, the average alumina price stands at RMB 3242/tonne.

Today’s spot alumina prices in the domestic markets are shown in the table below:

Alumina price from large scale alumina enterprises too is on upward track through August and September.  On September 14, Chalco alumina price stands flat from yesterday at RMB 3250/tonne after a continuous rise since September 1 and is expected to move within a range of RMB 3,230- 3,270/t.

In the imported alumina market; average price stands at RMB 2900.83/tonne and today’s price stands at RMB 3200.83/tonne, up from RMB 3150/tonne yesterday.

As for other raw materials are concerned, Average prebaked anode prices in the Central China, Southwest China and Northwest China market have registered a substantial jump to RMB 4220/t, RMB4275/t and RMB4600/t today. Price in East China market remains unchanged.Bauxite prices in Henan province have registered a slight rise today.

A00 Aluminium Ingot price in China has dropped on August 14 throughout all markets. The average price of A00 Aluminium Ingot would range between RMB 16220– 16260/t and today’s price stands at RMB 16240/t.
