Automotive Engineering Show 2019 returns to Chennai on July 4 bringing together OEMs and technology providers

The 12th edition of the Automotive Engineering Show 2019 returns to Chennai this year. The event is expected to bring together leading technology-driven brands and their newest innovations for the automotive industry. The USD 93 billion automotive industry in India is shouldering 7.1% of India's GDP and contributes 49% to the nation's manufacturing GDP.

The event will provide a common platform for product exhibition, product demonstrations and seminar sessions for the participants and visitors and offer an opportunity to O.E.M and automotive manufacturers to identify connect and collaborate with the right technology partners for industrial and process automation and quality control tools.

Starting from July 4 2019 for three days, the business event will bring together over 85 prominent technology players at the Chennai Trade Centre. Focused on technologies for automotive manufacturing, the exhibition will feature tech majors like Baumer India, Bharat Forge, Carl Zeiss, DesignTech Systems, Festo India, Nikon India, Olympus, Pepperl + Fuchs, Schmersal India, Staubli Tec, Sick India, Tal Manufacturing, Wipro 3D among other leading names.

The strong presence of automakers and parts suppliers has gained Chennai its recognition as one of the country’s largest automotive and auto components manufacturing hub.  The event is taking place at an important juncture when the automobile industry is growing through a transformation stage and opening up to new fuels rules and material substitution. For instance, the diversification of the automotive market into Hybrid Electric Vehicles and EVs creates new challenges in design and manufacturing.  Consumers are increasingly demanding in-vehicle connectivity, advanced driver assistance (ADAS), infotainment services, and other innovative features. The three day fair will host companies who address such changing needs.
