Automation and recycling help Canadian aluminium automotive die casters to make a mark

2MINS READ
According to the observations made in a recently published research report on aluminium die-casting market for automobiles in Canada, the market here is matured and is continuing a steady growth over the past couple of years. Despite ongoing economic crisis and government's hostile tax policies, that have been adversely impacting the small firms, as a whole, the regional market has continued to dominate the global aluminium die-casting market with the growing automobile industry in the country.

Empire Die Casting, an Ohio-based aluminium and zinc die caster, and other plants have installed advanced electric aluminium melting, and distribution and holding systems. This infrastructural advancement is expected to cut the amount of energy consumed by aluminium smelters by 80%.

Regional aluminium die casters have successfully implemented a closed loop system to recycle and reuse as much material as possible within their processes. They recycle everything from office stationery to aluminium downstream products and dies that eventually results in significantly low waste transportation to landfill. These steps have acted as major driving factors for a sustained growth of the market in the country.

Moreover, increased automation in the die casting industry spiked the productivity and a parallel demand for the former from the automotive industry is dragging the attention of automotive manufacturers towards highly durable aluminium die casting parts.

The Canadian aluminium automotive die casting market is segmented based on the production process type and by application type. In a nutshell, automobile makers are now focusing on collaborating with the part die casting manufacturers in order to produce fuel-efficient and lightweight automobiles.
