US aluminium semis imports from UAE grow 45.49% in Nov’20 after two back-to-back months of decline
The United States aluminium crude metal and alloys imports from the United Arab Emirates rose in November 2020 after two consecutive months of decline, found the US Geological Survey. Data shows the imports in November stood at 33,900 tonnes, up by 10,600 tonnes or 45.49 per cent month-on-month. In October, the imports were at 23,300 tonnes, registering a downfall of 26.73 per cent from 31,800 tonnes in September. Rio Tinto narrows Aluminium Pacific Operations Ore Reserves estimate
On Wednesday, February 17, Rio Tinto has announced that it changed its estimates of Ore Reserves and Mineral Resources at Rio Tinto Aluminium (RTA) Pacific Operations’ Weipa and Gove assets. The estimate has been decreased by 305 Mt from 1,530 Mt to 1,224 Mt. The reduction in Ore Reserve estimate is associated with a routine review of price assumptions over the life of the mine. There has been no material change to the economic cut-off methodology or process. Maan Aluminium reports 3.63% rise in net sales to INR 96.53 Cr. in December quarter 2020
On February 15, 2021, Maan Aluminium has reported net sales/income from operations at INR 96.53 crore for the December quarter in 2020. This is up by 3.63 per cent quarter-on-quarter from 93.15 crore but down by 23.45 per cent year-on-year from INR 126.10 crore. The United States exports of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Canada decreased in November 2020 after two consecutive months of hike, found the latest US Geological Survey data. In November, the exports stood at 25,200 tonnes, down by 3,600 tonnes or 12.5 per cent month-on-month. According to a recent report, the Australian Government has delivered two more new special purpose aluminium fast boats to the Royal Soloman Islands Police Force (RSIPF). The 9.2 metre long plate aluminium hull longboats will assist the latter for maritime surveillance and support its delivery of remote policing. The new high-speed boats are able to operate in conjunction with larger patrol boats and coordinate with aerial surveillance.
