
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, primary aluminium ingot inventories in China have continued to build-up this week, on Wednesday, February 10. Data shows the stocks have significantly gained 61,000 tonnes across eight major consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, to come in at 775,000 tonnes. Last week, on February 4, primary aluminium inventories stood at 714,000 tonnes, increasing by 32,000 tonnes from the previous week.

Primary aluminium inventories in Gongyi have expanded the highest by 19,000 tonnes to stand at 106,000 tonnes, followed by the surge of 15,000 tonnes in Wuxi to 266,000 tonnes. In Hangzhou and Nanhai, inventories have increased by 13,000 tonnes and 12,000 tonnes week-on-week to come in at 90,000 and 176,000 tonnes, respectively.
In Tianjin and Linyi, inventories have climbed relatively low by 2,000 and 1,000 tonnes to reach at 52,000 tonnes and 9,000 tonnes, while that in Shanghai have inched down by 1,000 tonnes to 74,000 tonnes, showed SMM.
