Aluminum scrap prices fall 2.5%

Weakening prices ended a three-day flat streak as the price of Chinese aluminum scrap fell 2.5 percent on Monday, April 22.
The price of Chinese aluminum billet reached a thirty-day low after decreasing 1.7 percent. The cash price of Chinese aluminum saw little movement yesterday. The price of Chinese aluminum bar held steady.
The cash price of primary Indian aluminum weakened by 1.4 percent.
On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price fell 0.1 percent to $1,871 per metric ton. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum showed little movement on Monday, hovering around $1,900 per metric ton.
