According to the General Administration of Customs, domestic bauxite imports stood at 19.743 million tonnes in April 2026, down 9.4 per cent month-on-month and 4.6 per cent year-on-year.
From January to April 2026, the total domestic bauxite imports reached 77.728 million tonnes, rising 14.7 per cent year-on-year.
In April 2026, domestic imports of Guinean bauxite amounted to 16.423 million tonnes, dropping 9.4 per cent month-on-month and 1.9 per cent year-on-year. The cumulative import volume of Guinean bauxite in the first four months of 2026 hit 62.964 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 18.5 per cent.
