
The average alumina spot price in China has continued to grow by RMB 4 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,318 per tonne as of December 11, marking the fourth consecutive increase, according to the Shanghai Metals Market data. In Henan and Shanxi, the alumina price has come in at RMB 2,330 per tonne growing by RMB 5 per tonne; while in Shandong, the price is hovering at RMB 2,295 per tonne, also up by RMB 5 per tonne. In Guizhou and Guangxi, however, the average alumina spot price has remained restrained at RMB 2,265 per tonne and RMB 2,260 per tonne, respectively.

Imported alumina price has also remained muted at RMB 2,310 per tonne, but the Australian alumina FOB price has dipped by US$ 1 per tonne to US$ 294 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot price has surged for the second day in a row by RMB 110 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,720 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 16,700 per tonne and RMB 16,740 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-70 per tonne, down by RMB 90 per tonne from the previous day.
In Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 140 per tonne to RMB 16,690 per tonne, while that in Gongyi, Foshan, and Linyi has increased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 16,530 per tonne, RMB 16,750 per tonne, and RMB 16,690 per tonne, respectively. In Hangzhou, the primary aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 95 per tonne to RMB 16,730 per tonne, and in Wuxi and Shenyang, the price has rallied by RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 16,720 per tonne and RMB 16,710 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 70 per tonne to close the week at RMB 16,670 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys prices have shown no exception but also increased on December 11, according to SMM. While the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have increased by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 17,400 per tonne and RMB 18,300 per tonne, respectively, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has soared by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 17,300 per tonne.
