Alumina spot price in China descends by RMB9/t; A00 aluminium ingot price hikes to RMB18,600/t
On Monday, October 10, the average alumina spot price in China went down by RMB 9 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,840 per tonne. The price in Lianyungang and Bayuquan has slumped by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,925 per tonne and RMB 2,975 per tonne. On the same day, the alumina price in Shandong and Guizhou climbed down by RMB 15 per tonne to reside at RMB 2,810 per tonne and RMB 2,845 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price descended by RMB 10 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,785 per tonne. The average alumina spot price in Henan and Guangxi has gone down by RMB 5 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,915 per tonne and RMB 2,805 per tonne.
China’s A00 aluminium ingot price witnessed a growth of RMB 260 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,600 per tonne after a week-long holiday. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 18,580 per tonne and RMB 18,620 per tonne, with the spot contract price likely to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.
As per the data, in Linyi, the price has surged by RMB 270 per tonne to record at RMB 18,660 per tonne. The prices in Foshan and Wuxi increased by RMB 260 per tonne to record at RMB 18,620 and RMB 18,590 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Chongqing, the prices escalated by RMB 240 per tonne and RMB 210 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,610 per tonne and RMB 18,630 per tonne. In Shenyang and Tianjin, the prices settled at RMB 18,550 per tonne after recording a growth of RMB 190 per tonne and RMB 160 per tonne.
On the same day, the aluminium alloys (ADC12) price, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A380) prices elevated by RMB 300 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,450 per tonne, RMB 20,150 per tonne and RMB 20,450 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloys (ADC12) is likely to hover between RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne. On the same day, for aluminium alloy (A356), the average price may range between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A380), the average price may orbit between RMB 20,350 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price experienced a surge of US$23 per tonne to settle at US$320 per tonne. The aluminium powder price inched up by RMB 0.3 per kg to rest at RMB 20.5 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 20.4 per kg and RMB 20.6 per kg.
