Alumina prices in China extend drops; A00 ingot price up by RMB10/t

Alumina spot prices declined across China major markets on Friday, 22 March 2019.The average alumina spot price dropped from RMB 2704 per tonne on March 20 to RMB 2694 per tonne on March 22.

Average price of Alumina-East has fallen by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 2690 per tonne; Alumina-Central is down by RMB 10 per tonne at RMB 2700 per tonne; Alumina-North is down by RMB 10 per tonne at RMB 2680 per tonne; and Alumina-South is down by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 2715 per tonne as on March 22.

Alumina (Chalco) price and Imported Alumina price remain unchanged at RMB 3250 per tonne and RMB 3000 per tonne respectively.

As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has edged higher by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 14020 per tonne today. The average price is expected to range between RMB 14000 per tonne and RMB 14040 per tonne, with spot premium to settle at 280- 320 per tonne.

In the East (Wuxi) and East (Hangzhou), the prices have dropped by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 14025 per tonne and RMB 14050 per tonne. In the South and North, the prices have plunged by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 14000 per tonne and RMB 13990 per tonne.
