Alumina price in China up RMB8/t; A00 aluminium ingot price registers a drop

The average spot price of alumina registered an increase of RMB 8 per tonne or 0.33 per cent on Monday, 19 August 2019. Alumina price rose from RMB 2442 per tonne to RMB 2450 per tonne.

Spot alumina prices in East China, Central China, and South China markets remained unchanged at RMB 2460 per tonne, RMB 2450 per tonne and RMB 2420 per tonne. North China price came in at RMB 2460 per tonne, up RMB 20 per tonne from its previous price. The price is expected to move within a range of RMB 2450-2470.

After registering a hike on Friday, A00 aluminium ingot price decreased to stand at RMB 14230 per tonne and expected to move within a range of RMB 14210-14250.

Aluminium ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou increased RMB 30 per tonne each to stand at RMB 14280 per tonne each on Monday. Aluminium ingot price in Chongqing came in at RMB 14260 per tonne, up RMB 20 per tonne. Aluminium ingot price in Shenyang and Tianjin stood at RMB 14180 per tonne and RMB 14210 per tonnes, down 10 per tonne each. Linyi price dropped RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 14180 per tonne.
