Alumina price in China up by RMB40/t; A00 aluminium ingot price registers a drop

The average spot alumina price rose from RMB 3116 per tonne to RMB 3156 per tonne on Wednesday, 22 May 2019. Alumina price recorded RMB40 per tonne or 1.28 per cent growth from yesterday. The price also increased across all major markets in China.

Alumina price in East and Central rose RMB 50 per tonne each to stand at RMB 3150 per tonne and RMB 3170 per tonne. Alumina price in North and South increased RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 3170 per tonne and RMB 3085 per tonne.

Imported alumina price stood at RMB 3120 per tonne on Wednesday, 22 May 2019, up RMB 30 per tonne from RMB 3090 per tonne. The price is expected to range at RMB 3070- 3170 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price registered a drop of RMB20 per tonne or 0.14 per cent from yesterday and stood at RMB14220 per tonne on Wednesday. The average price is expected to hover between RMB 14200-14240 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB 10 per tonne to a premium of RMB 30 per tonne.

Foshan aluminium ingot price dropped RMB 20 per tonne to RMB 14310 per tonne. Ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou declined RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 45 per tonne to stand at RMB 14205 per tonne and RMB 14220 per tonne. Aluminium ingot price in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi and Gongyi stood at RMB 14240 per tonne, RMB 14220 per tonne, RMB 14220 per tonne, RMB 14260 per tonne and RMB 14115 per tonne.
