Alumina price in China extends its rise; Australian alumina FOB price up USD5/t

The average spot alumina price in China continued to rise by RMB 9 per tonne or 0.37 per cent on Wednesday, 21 August 2019. Alumina price increased from RMB 2454 per tonne to RMB 2463 per tonne. The prices of alumina rose across major China markets.

The average alumina spot price in Central China market rose to RMB 2470 per tonne today, up RMB 10 per tonne from yesterday’s price. Alumina prices in Central and North climbed RMB10 per tonne each to stand at RMB2460 per tonne and RMB2480 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price increased USD 5 per tonne to USD 300 per tonne on Wednesday, 21 August 2019.

A00 aluminium ingot price is down by RMB60 per tonne from its earlier price. The price stood at RMB14320 per tonne today. The average price is expected to move within a range of RMB14300-14340 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB 10 per tonne to premium of RMB 30 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot prices in all the major markets witnessed a drop today. Aluminium ingot price in Foshan came in at RMB 14330 per tonne, up RMB 70 per tonne. Ingot prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou decreased RMB 50 per tonne each to stand at RMB 14330 per tonne and RMB 14350 per tonne.

Aluminium ingot prices in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi, and Gongyi stood at RMB 14340 per tonne, RMB 14220 per tonne, RMB 14300 per tonne, RMB 14250 per tonne and RMB 14200 per tonne.
