Achenbach rolling mills make their way to Weihai Haixin’s ‘Aluminum Park’

Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG, the specialist in premium rolling mills for flat-rolled products made of aluminium and other base metals, announced that they have been recently chosen as partner for the delivery of aluminum cold rolling mills by Weihai Haixin New Material for their Weihai plant in the Shandong province, China.

Weihai Haixin envisions to build a large ‘aluminum park’ to materialize production expansion of its aluminum foil unit at Weihai. The part of the order are four Achenbach OPTIMILL^® foil rolling mills for production of 1,700 mm wide foils which can be rolled down to strip thicknesses of 0.005 mm.

OPTIMILL Aluminium Strip Rolling Mill

Achenbach OPTIMILL^® foil rolling mills are equipped with the complete OPTIROLL^® i3 package for rolling mill automation and SUPERSTACK® II filtration systems with a CONDUSENS® conductivity sensor carrying out the rolling oil micro-filtration process during production in a closed loop system. The innovative OPTIFOIL^® technology yields superior end products through doubling, separating and slitting of aluminium rolled foils.

Achenbach had earlier delivered two of its new aluminum cold rolling mills to Weihai Haixin New Material in 2015. The scope of delivery included one strip rolling mill and one thin strip rolling mill. Both the rolling mills have set standards by the company’s superior technology. They are the core components of the aluminum thin strip production at Weihai Haixin’s Shandong plant.

What sets apart Acenbach’s aluminium rolling mills are their outstanding machinery technology, high level of productivity and particular operator and maintenance convenience. The scope of OPTIFOIL^® delivery comprises three separators including a pinhole detector, one doubler and the new NovaSlit^® slitting machine for soft-annealed aluminum foil.
