A00 aluminium ingot price in China shrinks by RMB90/t to hover below RMB19000/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, A00 aluminium ingot price has slumped by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,970 per tonne on Tuesday, December 28. That followed a stupendous growth of RMB 300 per tonne on the previous day. The average prices today are expected to range between RMB 18,950 per tonne and RMB 18,990 per tonne, with a spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB  20 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.

In Gongyi and Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 140 per tonne, respectively, to stand at RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,950 per tonne, followed by the downfall of RMB 130 per tonne in Wuxi to RMB 18,880 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Chongqing, the primary aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 110 per tonne to hover around RMB 18,980 per tonne and RMB 18,960 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang and Tianjin has contracted by RMB 90 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,920 per tonne and RMB 18,940 per tonne.

The domestic low carbon aluminium price has also witnessed a downfall by RMB 139 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,536 per tonne as of December 28.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has descended by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,150 per tonne, with average prices expected to reach between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.

However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have remained restrained at RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 20,400 per tonne.

Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.60 per kg. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20.50 per kg and RMB 20.70 per kg.
