A00 aluminium ingot price in China descends to RMB 17,730/t; Alumina price inches up by RMB 1/t
On Thursday, January 5, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price decreased by RMB 290 per tonne to settle at RMB 17,730 per tonne, with the average price ranging between RMB 17,710 per tonne and RMB 17,750 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80 to RMB 40 per tonne.
On the same day, in Gongyi and Shenyang, the prices have descended by RMB 320 per tonne and RMB 300 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,560 per tonne and RMB 17,780 per tonne. The prices in Foshan and Wuxi have dropped by RMB 290 per tonne to reside at RMB 17,710 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Tianjin, the prices witnessed the same downfall to peg at RMB 17,740 per tonne and RMB 17,780 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices in Chongqing and Linyi have slumped by RMB 285 per tonne and RMB 270 per tonne to score at RMB 17,785 per tonne and RMB 17,750 per tonne.
On the other hand, the average alumina spot price has increased by RMB 1 per tonne to score at RMB 2,928 per tonne. The prices have remained restrained in most provinces except in Guangxi, where it has hiked by RMB 10 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,860 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has slumped by RMB 290 per tonne to reach RMB 18,282 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price has plunged by RMB 300 per tonne to clock at RMB 25,700 per tonne and RMB 26,700 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have dipped by RMB 150 per tonne to score at RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloys (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne.
For aluminium alloy (A380), the average price is expected to range between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (A356) has plunged by RMB 300 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,900 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.3 per kg to stand at RMB 19.4 per kg, with the average prices expected to orbit between RMB 19.3 per tonne and RMB 19.5 per tonne.
