
On a further downfall of the social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China on a brisk consumption on Monday, June 22, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has recorded a hike of RMB 70 per tonne to RMB 14,030 per tonne, found Shanghai Metals Market. This marks the second consecutive growth of A00 aluminium ingot price, crossing the benchmark price of RMB 14,000 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,010 per tonne and RMB 14,050 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 220-240 per tonne.

Chongqing has seen the highest growth in A00 aluminium ingot price today of about RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 14,020 per tonne, followed by Foshan, where the aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,110 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Gongyi, the price has grown by RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 14,050 per tonne and RMB 13,975 per tonne, while that in Wuxi and Shenyang has hiked by RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 45 per tonne to respectively come in at RMB 14,030 per tonne and RMB 13,955 per tonne. In Tianjin and Linyi, the aluminium ingot price is hovering at RMB 13,990 per tonne and RMB 14,000 per tonne after rising by RMB 40 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has registered a growth as well on June 23 by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,700 per tonne, learned SMM. However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 13,950 per tonne and RMB 14,850 per tonne, respectively.

As far as the aluminium input costs are concerned, only the aluminium powder price has recorded a marginal rise of RMB 0.10 per kg to stand at RMB 17.55 per kg, as of June 23, according to SMM data.
Otherwise, neither the price of alumina nor the prices of bauxite and prebaked anode have registered any changes. While the average alumina price is continuing at RMB 2,261 per tonne, the prices of bauxite and prebaked anode have remained restrained at RMB 540 per tonne and RMB 2,670 per tonne, respectively.
