A fresh strategic alliance is taking shape in Turkey’s aluminium landscape. A Turkish aluminium producer, ASAS, is making waves internationally by acquiring Eurofoil France, a company based in France. This acquisition is a major step forward in ASAS’s strategy for global expansion, marking an exciting new chapter for its operations throughout Europe.

Although the financial specifics of the acquisition have not been revealed yet, ASAS shared on Friday that the French subsidiary will keep operating under its new name, ASAS S.A.S.
The aim? To boost the Turkish aluminium industry
ASAS General Manager Derya Hatiboglu described the acquisition as a “strategic step” designed to enhance the company’s production capacity and foster global collaboration.
The company emphasised that this move highlights its commitment to upholding high-quality standards, leveraging advanced manufacturing technologies and adopting a sustainability-focused approach to boost its competitiveness on the international stage.
Derya Hatiboglu stated, "With our new structure in France, we are reinforcing our presence in the European market while providing customers with a more agile and sustainable service network"
Benefit to Eurofoil
Under ASAS’s ownership, Eurofoil France will continue its production with the same skilled workforce. This integration is expected to allow the new entity to offer a broader range of products, improved supply reliability and better service quality to customers throughout Europe.
Founded in 1947 in Rugles, France, Eurofoil France boasts a sprawling 130,000-square-meter facility, with 55,450 square meters dedicated to covered production space. This company is all about crafting aluminium foil as thin as 5 microns, serving a variety of industries, including packaging, food, pharmaceuticals and automotive.
Founded back in 1990, ASAS has established itself as one of Türkiye’s top industrial players, operating five state-of-the-art production facilities in Sakarya. With a workforce of over 2,400 and exports reaching more than 80 countries, the company proudly ranks 64th on the 2024 ISO 500 list of Türkiye’s leading industrial firms, boasting net sales of TRY 25.47 billion (USD 605.42 million).
