Premium Lindoia, in partnership with Ball Corporation – a global leader in sustainable aluminium packaging –, announces the launch of its Flavors line in cans in Brazil, featuring sparkling flavoured waters in lemon, grape and passion fruit varieties.

The new products are the world’s first flavoured waters in cans to carry the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) seal, reinforcing the growing demand for products that combine flavour, well-being, and sustainability, as well as the diversification of beverage categories available in cans.

Developed for consumers seeking healthier beverage alternatives, the Flavors line combines mineral water, carbonation, and natural fruit flavours, with no sugar, preservatives, or calories. In addition to its focus on well-being, the launch represents another step in Premium Lindoia’s strategy to incorporate solutions aligned with its sustainability commitments from the earliest stages of product development.

The launch also reflects one of the main trends Ball has identified in the beverage market. The company has observed growing consumer demand for products that deliver multiple benefits in a single consumption experience, bringing together attributes such as flavour, health and wellness, convenience, and sustainability. In this context, packaging plays an increasingly strategic role in building brand value and connecting with consumers seeking choices aligned with their lifestyles.

Working alongside its customers, Ball has continued to expand the development of solutions that combine innovation, performance, and sustainability. A pioneer in obtaining ASI certification across all its South American operations, the company partners with suppliers and brands to broaden access to certified aluminium and strengthen an increasingly transparent and responsible value chain.

“At Ball, we continuously monitor the evolution of consumer behaviour and work alongside our customers to transform trends into tangible solutions. The expansion of categories such as flavoured waters demonstrates how innovation, well-being and sustainability are increasingly moving forward together. The launch of Premium Lindoia Flavors shows how collaboration among different companies can accelerate this movement and create value across the entire aluminium value chain,” says Tamires Silvestre, Sustainability Director for Ball in South America.

For Premium Lindoia, adopting the ASI seal represents a natural evolution of the company’s strategy. The brand had already embraced canned water as a point of differentiation and is now expanding this commitment by incorporating an internationally recognised certification.

“The Flavors line was created as a bold investment in innovation and is entering the market with a sustainability credential that is directly connected to our brand. Understanding the origin of the aluminium and ensuring that it was produced responsibly is consistent with our DNA. Over the past few years, we have actively sought packaging alternatives with a lower environmental impact, and aluminium can proved to be the choice most closely aligned with our values. The ASI seal represents our commitment to considering the entire value chain when discussing responsible impact,” says João Zampini, Managing Partner of Premium Lindoia.

The launch of the Flavors line in certified cans was driven by three main factors: changes in consumer behavior, with people paying closer attention to both ingredients and packaging characteristics; the brand’s sustainability strategy; and the goal of differentiating the new product category through the attributes of its packaging.

“Our consumers read labels, look for healthier products and are increasingly attentive to brands’ sustainability practices. Premium Lindoia had already invested in canned water as a point of differentiation, and the ASI seal expands this commitment by bringing certification to the aluminium value chain. As a result, the Flavors line’s differentiation extends across its entire production process,” adds Pedro Zampini, Managing Partner of Premium Lindoia.

Category diversification drives innovation

Ball monitors the evolution of consumption habits and supports its customers in expanding new beverage categories in cans across South America. In recent years, segments such as water, wine, coffee, ready-to-drink beverages and now, flavoured waters have broadened the presence of aluminium across an increasingly diverse range of consumption occasions.

The partnership with Premium Lindoia reinforces this movement by combining product innovation, distinctive packaging and attributes aligned with consumers’ evolving expectations. In addition to contributing to category diversification, the Flavors line expands the possibilities for consuming canned water across different occasions, offering an alternative for consumers who value convenience, flavour and experiences aligned with well-being.

The Premium Lindoia Flavors line is now available to consumers throughout Brazil through the brand’s official store on Mercado Livre. In São Paulo, the products can also be found at St Marche stores. The experience gained from the launch will also serve as a foundation for the company’s next steps involving certified packaging.
