LSKB Aluminium Foils, along with its backward integration partner Jupiter Aluminium Industries Pvt. Ltd. The delegation, comprising over 50 senior decision-makers from the global aluminium foil industry, was visiting India to attend GLAFCO, the sector’s most significant international forum focused on the overall industry outlook, technology evolution, sustainability, and future demand across packaging and advanced applications.

As part of the engagement, delegates undertook an in-depth visit to LSKB Aluminium Foils’ manufacturing facility in Sonipat, gaining insights into its aluminium foil production lines and large-scale manufacturing capabilities across packaging, pharmaceutical, and FMCG applications. The visit also showcased JUPALCO’s highly automated flat-rolled aluminium operations, including one of the widest width line casting facilities in India, with continuous casting lines of up to 2.2 metres and an annual aluminium foil stock production capacity of up to 120,000 metric tonnes.

Kunal Bajaj, Director, LSKB Aluminium Foils, said, “The visit by GLAFRI members reflects the growing confidence global industry leaders have in India’s manufacturing capabilities. With large-scale capacity, advanced technology, and strong backward integration, Indian aluminium foil manufacturers are well-positioned to serve global markets competitively. We also acknowledge the continuous support from the Indian Government, which has been pivotal in strengthening manufacturing ecosystems and enabling industry competitiveness.”

Lakshay Singhal, Director, LSKB Aluminium Foils, added, “This interaction underscores how integrated manufacturing models under the Make in India vision are enabling Indian companies to build resilient supply chains and deliver world-class aluminium foil solutions from India to the world. With evolving global trade frameworks, such as recent developments in India–EU trade cooperation, opportunities for deeper market integration and exports are poised to grow further.”

The integrated LSKB–JUPALCO manufacturing ecosystem demonstrated India’s growing ability to deliver scale, consistency, and vertical integration entirely through domestic manufacturing, a capability that resonated strongly with global delegates assessing long-term sourcing strategies and supply chain resilience.

The visit also served as a platform for discussions around the industry outlook, including the increasing role of aluminium foil in packaging, evolving customer requirements, and the gradual alignment of Indian manufacturing practices with European guidelines getting implemented across global markets, particularly in areas related to sustainability, safety, and material performance.

In addition, an exclusive dinner hosted by LSKB Aluminium Foils and JUPALCO provided an informal setting for deeper dialogue among industry leaders on global trends, regional growth opportunities, and the role of integrated producers in supporting the next phase of growth for the aluminium foil industry.

The engagement took place against the backdrop of continued policy support from the Indian Government for domestic manufacturing and improving global trade frameworks, including progress in India–European Union trade engagement, which are expected to further strengthen export opportunities and global market access for Indian manufacturers.
