The AluQuébec Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Laramée as President and CEO of AluQuébec. With more than 13 years of experience in business development, management, and strategic leadership, particularly in the manufacturing and aerospace sectors, Charlotte brings valuable expertise to guide the Aluminium Industrial Cluster to new heights.
Before joining AluQuébec, Charlotte served as Vice President of Operations at Aéro Montréal, where she led major initiatives through the implementation of programs to support the consolidation, internationalisation, and integration of innovation within the aerospace supply chain. She also led the Alliance for Recovery, a strategic working group launched during the COVID-19 crisis and focused on developing concrete economic measures to support the recovery of the aerospace sector in Quebec. More recently, she has also actively contributed to social innovation initiatives as a leader, still in the non-profit sector.
Charlotte holds a master's degree in management from a business school and completed a microprogram in corporate finance at HEC Montréal in 2019. She also completed specialised training in equity, diversity, and inclusion at Université Laval, demonstrating her commitment to social impact and organisational transformation.
Charlotte Laramée's appointment marks an important milestone for AluQuébec. Her collaborative approach, strategic acumen, and ability to mobilise stakeholders in the industrial ecosystem will be major assets in strengthening the positioning of Quebec aluminium as a sustainable and innovative material of the future.
"Thanks to her professional talents and people-centred management style, Charlotte is the ideal candidate to successfully assume this mandate," concluded Éloïse Harvey, Chair of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Harvey warmly thanks François Racine, who has served as CEO for the past four years and has successfully promoted AluQuébec throughout the ecosystem, both in Quebec and internationally. Mr. Racine will continue to act as an advisor to AluQuébec to ensure the transition.
