Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.

Aluminium firm set to complete £1.2m contract at state-of-the-art research facility
2MINS READ
Aluminium fabricators Dudley’s Aluminium is set to complete work on a landmark contract, supporting the construction of Cardiff University’s Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC).
CUBRIC will open in spring 2016, and the £44m centre will become one of Europe’s top facilities for brain imaging. The site will have one of the world’s most sophisticated MRI scanners, and research at the centre will focus on understanding more about the causes of conditions such as dementia, multiple sclerosis and schizophrenia – leading to improved diagnosis and treatments.
The £1.2 million contract will see Dudley’s provide key structural and architectural aluminium and glazing at the site. The company will manufacture and install capped curtain walling with large multi-colour panels for the building façade, as well as manually and electrically operated windows, manually operated doors, and circular sliding entrance doors.
Commenting on the project, Dudley’s managing director Colin Shorney said: “We are particularly pleased to be involved with projects such as CUBRIC due to its importance to the international economy. The centre will hopefully lead to ground-breaking research into brain diseases that will benefit people across the world; and will ensure the Welsh higher education sector plays a central role in producing leading research on a global stage.
“We work with a number of educational organisations across the UK and we believe our work at Cardiff University demonstrates our expertise in the marketplace, while helping to create a long-lasting legacy for the institution.”
Dudley’s completion of the CUBRIC project will be the second contract the company has successfully undertaken work for the university in the last 24 months, having previously completed a £800,000 contract at Cardiff University Business School.
Dudley’s reputation for quality has been recognised with several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered, and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products.
