To be held in Vienna from 16-17 November, the World Demolition Summit 2022 will honour specific demolition experts of the world with the highest title and Delta Group, along with CMA Contracting, are competing this year for the glorious position. The 2022 World Demolition Awards will only consider the entries with the least recorded work discrepancies and accidents.

While Delta Group is being considered for the demolition contract it successfully accomplished at the Hazelwood mine and power station, CMA Contracting is being considered for its extraordinary handling of Hydro Aluminium Kurri Kurri.
After a successful demolition, the steel bars or aluminium components extracted usually find their way to integrated recycling centres. Recycling plays an important role when it comes to the non-ferrous material aluminium because it can retain its original properties even after the re-melting process. Once recycled, aluminium can be used as a raw material for making other industrial or commercial products. Therefore, demolition is not always a fruitless affair, as materials extracted during the demolition process can be reused for various essential purposes.
The 2022 award can be segregated into the 'Industrial Demolition' category. Some of the other firms in the turf are Erith Contractors for their contributions in Ireland, alongside Despe for dismantling a blast furnace and for other auxiliary jobs in Italy.
CMA Contracting has also been considered for the title as it has done an incredible job in destroying and then reconstructing Hydro Aluminium Kurri Kurri. In the sub-text of disaster management, these companies have all registered themselves as leading organisations by being enlisted in the 2022 World Demolition Awards ceremony.
The primary operational standards to be inspected in the 'Industrial Demolition' category are expertise and professionalism. The other essential contexts for judgement would also include hazard remediation, insight into matters, successful handling, recycling anomalies, and client feedback.
Global experts will chair the judging panel with their age-old expertise in the metal or construction sector.
Delta claims that the Hazelwood Mine & Power Station demolition project was by far the lengthiest operation carried out on Australian soil. The organisation was working under the jurisdiction of Engie Australia, who reassured Delta at every step about the necessity of this US$100 million initiative that went on from 2019-2021.
At that time, the activity was listed second on the Victorian Government's list of Highest-Risk Construction Projects. It was expected from Delta that the demolition group would deliver technology and safety of the highest level to deal with the operation.
Delta's name has also been listed in other categories of the World Demolition Summit 2022, like in the 'Safety and Training' and the 'Urban Demolition' genres.
The award cycle was introduced by Demolition & Recycling International in collaboration with the European Demolition Association and the National Demolition Association, all having similar ideologies of sustainability and a greener environment.
