Vishay Intertechnology introduces aluminium electrolytic capacitors

EDITED BY : HEENA IQBAL 1MINS READ

Vishay Intertechnology, one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors, has introduced a new series of 400V and 450V snap-in, four-terminal aluminium electrolytic capacitors. The capacitors provide a high ripple current capability at a temperature of 105C in 15 large case sizes.

Aluminium electrolytic capacitors can be used in home appliance inverters, power supplies and industrial sectors. An Improved capacitor features four-terminal configuration which enhances mechanical stability and end-product lifetimes.

The device comes with a cylindrical aluminium case with pressure relief, insulated with a blue sleeve. The capacitors are a substitute for banks of large screw terminal devices connected by a bus-bar with smaller parts connected by a PCB.

The aluminium capacitors reduce construction costs and supports soldering processing instead of manual mounting. The two-terminal snap-in capacitors offers 35mm x 50mm to 45mm x 100mm ranges. It can restrict the number of components required.

Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are polarized with a non-solid electrolyte and it can be best used in smoothing, filtering, and energy storage in pulsed power applications.
