Vietnam aims to start alumina production in September

Reuters reported that Vietnam will produce the first alumina from a bauxite complex in the Central Highlands in September after months of delays caused by adverse weather, power shortages and slow equipment delivery.
Mr Tran Duong Le deputy director of the complex's management board said that the official Vietnam News Agency said that the country's first alumina plant in Lam Dong province is now due to get its first product on September 20th 2011.
