US June Aluminum Output 167,000 Tons, Down Slightly On Month-USGS

U.S. domestic primary aluminum production in June was 167,000 metric tons, down slightly from 170,000 tons in May but up 18% from 141,000 tons a year earlier, according Thursday to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The average daily U.S. primary aluminum production was 5,550 tons, slightly higher than the previous month and 18% higher than in June 2010.
