Ukraine Jan-March Alumina Exports +5.4% On Year At 375,290 Tons

Ukraine exported 375,290 metric tons of alumina in January-March, 5.4% more than in the corresponding period in 2010, the government reported Thursday.
The exported alumina was worth $116.79 million.
Alumina exports in March totaled 126,940 tons, 11.1% more than in February this year and 3.5% more than in March 2010. The alumina exported in March was worth $38.33 million, 7.3% more than in February. Most alumina was exported to Russia.
In 2010 Ukraine exported 1.44 million tons of alumina, 3.2% more than in 2009.
Ukraine produces alumina at the Mykolaev Alumina Plant and the Zaporozhye Aluminum Combine, both belonging to UC Rusal PLC (0486.HK).
The exported alumina was worth $116.79 million.
