
The United Arab Emirates exports of crude metals and alloys to the US stood at 7,350 tonnes in July 2020, a decrease of 72% or 18,850 tonnes year-on-year. The UAE had exported 26,200 tonnes to the US in July 2019, according to the latest Mineral Industry Survey report from the US Geological Survey.

On a month on month comparison, exports increased by 17% or 1,080 tonnes from 6,270 tonnes. Compared with May, the UAE’s exports of crude metal and alloys to the US stood 73% lower from 27,200 tonnes.
In the first seven months of 2020, the UAE’s export of crude metals and alloys stood 33% lower year-on-year. The UAE exported 185,000 tonnes in January-July 2020, from 277,000 tonnes in January-July 2019.
The UAE exported 7,540 tonnes of total aluminium to the USA in July 2020, from 26,400 tonnes exported in July 2019. This marked a decrease of 71.44% or 18,860 tonnes year-on-year. Exports climbed by 20% from June’s export of 6,300 tonnes but declined by 72.38% from May’s exports of 27,300 tonnes.
