
Eti Alüminyum Seydişehir Plant is the only integrated aluminium plant producing aluminium from ore in Turkey. The continuous investment has made it able to adapt to technological conditions of the age and to acquire competitive power in the international markets, making considerable contributions to the economy of the country, and especially of the region.

The transcontinental country straddling South-eastern Europe and Western Asia has recorded 44,956 tonnes of alumina during 2018-19 and the revenue expended for the import during the phase stood at $41.09 million. The import for 2020 accounted 19,230 tonnes and the expenditure occurred remained at $18.41 million. However, when the import volume and expenditure of 2020 gets assorted with the existing two years, it denotes 64,186 tonnes and $59.50 million.

Turkey’s import of alumina in 2018 remained at 22,608 tonnes and the expenditure recorded for the import stood at $20.01 million, whereas, in 2019, the import for saw a marginal drop by 1.15%, as the import volume fell to 22,348 tonnes and the expenditure stood at $18.41 million.
The import for 2020 also marked with 13.94% de-growth, as the import volume shrunk to 19,230 tonnes and the expenditure dipped to $18.41 million.
Turkey’s major trading destinations for the importation of alumina are Bosnia Herzegovina, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA, etc.
