Three-month LME aluminium price slashed to US$2,604.5/t; SHFE slightly up by 0.40% in overnight trading
Three-month LME aluminium dropped 0.25% to close at US$2,604.5 per tonne on Monday. As of Monday August 16, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2644 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2644 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2626 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2626 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2584 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2584 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1312950 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 830450 tonnes and Cancelled Warrants were 482500 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2600.92 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 3120 per tonne on Tuesday, 17 August, 2021.
SHFE metals were mixed in the overnight trading. The most active SHFE 2109 aluminium contract slightly up by 0.40% to end at RMB20,230 per tonne last night, with the open interest of bears down 3,838 lots to 235,000 lots. The September contract is expected to trade between RMB20,100-20,500 per tonne today.
