Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$2,488.5/t on Monday; SHFE to trade between RMB18,500-19,000/t

Three-month LME aluminium rose 1.08% to settle at US$2,488.5 per tonne in the overnight trading yesterday, with open interest losing 4,958 lots to 710,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,440-2,500 per tonne today.

As of Monday June 14, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2504 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2504 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2478 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2478 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2456.50 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2456.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1652850 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1099250 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 553600 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2470.97per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2976 per tonne on Tuesday, 15 June 2021.

SHFE metals trading were suspended yesterday during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The most liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract is expected to trade between RMB18,500-19,000 per tonne today.
