Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$1,934.5/t on Friday; SHFE aluminium rose 1.77%

Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.36% to close at US$1,934.5 per tonne on Friday, with open interest rising to 750,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$1,910-1,950 per tonne today.

As of Friday November 13, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1918 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1918 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1934.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1934.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1971.50per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1971.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1414675 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1252525 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 162150 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1938.04 per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2378 per tonne on Monday, 16 November 2020.

The most-traded SHFE 2012 aluminium contract climbed to an intraday high of RMB15,565 per tonne, ending the day 1.77% higher at RMB15,530 on Friday.

The most-liquid SHFE 2012 aluminium contract slid 0.84% to settle at RMB15,400 per tonne on Friday night. It is likely to trade between 15,200-15,600 per tonne today.
