Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$1,911/t; SHFE aluminium added 0.27%

Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.47% to close at US$1,911 per tonne on Tuesday, with open interest remaining at 746,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$1,880-1,940 per tonne today.

As of Tuesday November 10, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1880 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1880 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1900 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1900 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1942.50 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1942.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1425450 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1246475 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 178975 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1901.50per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2322 per tonne on Wednesday, 11 November 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2012 aluminium contract climbed 0.27% to end the day at RMB14,945 per tonne on Tuesday, with trading volume rising 24,045 lots to 142,000 lots. The contract added 0.2% to settle at RMB14,975 per tonne on Tuesday night. It is likely to trade between 14,800-15,200 today.
