Three-month LME aluminium climbs 0.98% to US$2,474/t; SHFE aluminium slipped 1.82%
Three-month LME aluminium closed 0.98% higher at US$2,474 per tonne in the overnight trading, with open interest decreasing 19,280 lots to 699,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,450-2,500 per tonne.
As of Wednesday June 16, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2454.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2454.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2452.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2452.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2436.50 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2436.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1627225 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1072200 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 555025 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2436.29 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2907 per tonne on Thursday, 17 June 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 1.82% lower at RMB18,590 per tonne on Wednesday. The most active SHFE 2107 aluminium contract won 1.08% to settle at RMB18,790 per tonne last night. The contract is expected to trade between RMB18,500-19,000 per tonne today.
