Suzlon receives 50.4 MW order from Odisha-based PSU NALCO

This order marks NALCO’s entry into the wind energy sector, with this maiden project scheduled for completion and commissioning by January, 2012. The power generated will be sold to the state electricity grid. NALCO plans to register the project under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Speaking about the order, Mr. Tulsi R. Incorporated in 1981, as a public sector enterprise of the Government of India, NALCO is Asia's largest integrated aluminium company, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
