SMM A00 aluminium ingot price loses RMB40/t to close the week; Alumina price follows upward trend

The Shanghai Metals Market, on March 22, today has shown mixed price trends with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price shedding RMB 40 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,300 per tonne.

The eight central provinces in China have all displayed fluctuations in aluminium prices, with the only spike marked in Shenyang, where the price stood at RMB 19,255 per tonne, up RMB 15 per tonne. The highest slump of RMB 50 per tonne was noticed in Gongyi with the aluminium price closing at RMB 19,280 per tonne. Hangzhou too registered a similar price with a drop of RMB 40 per tonne. Linyi lost RMB 35 per tonne to reach RMB 19,255 per tonne, followed by RMB 30 per tonne plunge in Foshan, where the price rested at RMB 19,270 per tonne. The aluminium price in Gongyi has fallen by RMB 20 per tonne to officiate at RMB 19,200 per tonne. Only in Chongqing and Tianjin, the aluminium prices refrained from any change remaining stoic at RMB 19,260 per tonne each.

China’s low carbon aluminium price has discarded RMB 41 per tonne to arrive at RMB 20,142 per tonne.

The CIF Index of Import Bauxite price has soared by US$0.03 per tonne to close at US$71.60 per tonne.

China’s averaged alumina price has gained RMB 1 per tonne to halt at RMB 3,318 per tonne, while the alumina price in Shandong has skipped upward by RMB 5 per tonne, closing at RMB 3,245 per tonne.

The Australian Alumina FOB price has collected US$11 per tonne to arrive at US$371 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A360) have both decreased by RMB 50 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne.
