SMM A00 aluminium ingot price loses RMB10/t; China’s alumina spot price gains RMB3/t

The Shanghai Metals Market, on October 24, experienced mixed aluminium price trends, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price shedding RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 18,910 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have ranged between RMB 18,890 per tonne and RMB 18,930 per tonne.

China’s major provinces have witnessed declining prices, with the aluminium price lowering the most in Hangzhou by RMB 40 per tonne to settle down at RMB 18,880 per tonne, while in Wuxi too, it marked a similar rate with a fall of RMB 20 per tonne. Only in Foshan, the aluminium price has increased by RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 18,940 per tonne. Other than that, Gongyi, Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi all have marked a slump of RMB 10 per tonne, with the respective prices closing at RMB 18,810 per tonne, RMB 18,910 per tonne, RMB 18,970 per tonne, RMB 18,940 per tonne and RMB 18,910 per tonne.

The low-carbon aluminium price in China has gained RMB 18 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,787 per tonne.

The CIF Index of Import Bauxite price has dived down by RMB 0.07 per tonne, halting at RMB 501.21 per tonne.

China’s average alumina spot price has soared by RMB 3 per tonne, closing at RMB 3,001 per tonne. Alumina prices in Shandong, Shanxi, Guizhou and Guangxi have all levitated by RMB 5 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,985 per tonne, RMB 3,015 per tonne, RMB 2,995 per tonne and RMB 3,020 per tonne.
