SMM A00 aluminium ingot price adds RMB20/t today; China’s alumina spot price marks RMB20/t hike

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price has scored RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 20,540 per tonne today, with the average prices hovering between RMB 20,520 per tonne and RMB 20,560 per tonne.

The eight main provinces in China have more or less seen escalation in aluminium prices, with Hangzhou and Linyi recording a spike of RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 20,540 per tonne and RMB 20,590 per tonne, respectively. Other than that, most of the other areas like Gongyi, Foshan, Wuxi and Shenyang have witnessed a rise of RMB 10 per tonne.

Gongyi – RMB 20,450 per tonne

Foshan – RMB 20,500 per tonne

Wuxi – RMB 20,540 per tonne

Shenyang – RMB 20,490 per tonne

Only in Chongqing and Tianjin, the aluminium prices have dropped by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne to rest at RMB 20,490 per tonne and RMB 20,520 per tonne, respectively.

China’s low carbon aluminium price has added RMB 4 per tonne to park at RMB 21,551 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price in China has soared by RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 3,678 per tonne. Similarly all the other provinces like Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Guizhou, Guangxi, Lianyungang and Bayuquan have all seen a uniform levitation of RMB 20 per tonne.

Shandong – RMB 3,650 per tonne

Henan – RMB 3,660 per tonne

Shanxi – RMB 3,710 per tonne

Guizhou – RMB 3,670 per tonne

Guangxi – RMB 3,695 per tonne

Lianyungang – RMB 3,715 per tonne

Bayuquan – RMB 3,720 per tonne

The Australian alumina FOB price has added US$4 per tonne to reach US$410 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has gained RMB 50 per tonne to officiate at RMB 21,100 per tonne.
