
Slovenia, a country in Central Europe, is known for its mountains, ski resorts and lakes. The major Slovene industries produce electrical equipment, electronics, trucks, chemicals, processed food, textiles, paper and paper products, and wood products. Ferrous metallurgy and rolling mill products, aluminium reduction and rolled products, and lead and zinc smelting are also developed.

The bauxite importation of the Central European nation has been exhibited quite impressive during 2017-20 as the total import volume stood at 64,545 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $12.27 million. The projected import volume for 2020 has been set at 44,566 tonnes and the expenditure can expand to $7.61 million. However, when the estimated import volume and expenditure of 2020 have been summed up with the previous three years it reflects 109,111 tonnes and $19.11 million.
The bauxite export nations for Slovenia’s import are Bosnia Herzegovina, Austria, China, Croatia, Germany, Guyana, India, Italy, Turkey, etc.
In 2017 the country’s bauxite import was recorded at 14,192 tonnes and the foreign revenue expended stood at $2.67 tonnes, whereas in 2018 the bauxite import saw a rise by 44.39%, as the import volume stood at 20,492 tonnes and the expenditure at $3.49 million.
Slovenia’s bauxite import in 2019 also saw a rise by 45.72% as the import volume remained at 29,861 tonnes and the expenditure climbed to $6.11 million, whereas the analysis for 2020 has been reflected with growth by 49.24% as the import volume might stretch to 44,566 tonnes and the expenditure to remain $7.61 million only.
