Shop.Capral – the new online gateway for premium quality aluminium solutions

Capral Aluminium, one of Australia's leading aluminium extruders and distributors, has introduced a more flexible approach to meeting customer needs. This led to the launch of Shop.Capral, an online store designed to give customers greater visibility and easier access to Capral's Industrial Solutions aluminium range. The platform is open to all industrial clients, as well as general consumers and trade customers.

Mark Murray, Capral's National Market Manager for Industrial Solutions, highlights the pivotal role of the company's online platform, Shop.Capral, in providing a dependable source of sustainable and high-quality aluminium. Operating nationwide, the online store provides customers with the option to pick up products from any of Capral's 28 locations, including its RDCs and Aluminium Trade Centres, or choose a next-day delivery option.

In addition to its accessibility and timeliness, the store offers special features for account customers, such as access to negotiated pricing, past orders, and invoices. Account holders can also take advantage of new features like re-ordering, shopping lists, and favourites. Furthermore, the store enhances accountability and the overall user experience by allowing customers to track their orders and deliveries.

"We extrude around about 55,000 tonnes of aluminium annually and distribute around 10,000 tons of rolled aluminium product a year," said national market manager for Industrial Solutions, Capral Aluminium, Mark Murray. Capral'sCapital's portfolio includes:

Mark explained that the store was created not only to improve the experience for Capral's regular customers but also to expand product access for those who may not purchase as frequently.

"In the store, we offer everything from all our standard extruded aluminium products as well as sheet and plate products. Currently, we don't include our range of window systems or hardware but otherwise you will find most Capral Aluminium products available there. The online store reflects Capral's commitment to innovating and evolving to meet customer needs in the aluminium industry," added Mark.

Capral's nationwide presence allows it to serve customers across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing. This network includes six manufacturing facilities and regional distribution centres in every state, supporting its Aluminium Trade Centres and a dedicated team of experienced account managers.

"These products are kept in stock at our Regional Distribution Centres and usually available for next day collection or delivery. We also provide custom, proprietary extrusions which are designed to meet the needs of an individual customer. Often customers in industries like transport, construction, marine or renewable energy will have their own bespoke extrusion designs that we supply on demand," added Mark.

Mark recalled that it's common for workers in welding and fabrication workshops to be busy all day and unable to place orders for aluminium until late in the evening, often around nine or ten o'clock. The online store caters to this need by remaining open on weekends, allowing customers to avoid wasting valuable time on Monday mornings figuring out which products they need.
