
A new variant of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 will now be available in India from July 11, as the South Korean tech giant has reportedly unveiled the aluminium edition of the smartwatch in the South Asian country. At the launch, Samsung said this is the company’s first smartwatch to be made in India.
With this new range of product, Samsung boasts for having the largest and the most diverse 4G watch portfolio in India.

The aluminium edition of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is available in 9 distinct colour finishes, 3 sizes (42mm, 44mm, and 46mm), and two unique design templates - elegant classic of the Watch 4G and modern minimalistic of the Watch Active2.
Among the wide range of Samsung’s 4G watch portfolio, Galaxy Watch Active2 Aluminium edition is meant to complement the needs of ‘on the go’ consumers, with smart features like fitness tracking and internet surfing.
“The Aluminium edition of Galaxy Watch Active2 4G is our most affordable 4G watch now. It’s also the first smartwatch to be made in India. With Galaxy Watch Active2 4G, we have also started manufacturing our entire range of 18 smartwatches in India as part of ‘Make for India’ program,” said Mohandeep Singh, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.
Ever since the launch of the Galaxy Watch Active2 series, its designs have mesmerized the customers with its minimalistic lines. The aluminium edition is also assured to enthral the patrons no less with sport bands in colours like Cloud Silver, Aqua Black and Pink Gold, each to complement your unique style and choice. They also give the liberty to customise with standard watch straps and a massive library of watch faces from the app store.
Now coming to the features, the aluminium edition comes with 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and Tizen OS, and 340mAh battery.
Besides, it can run a host of third-party apps, track over 39 workouts, monitor heart-rate. It is also equipped with an ECG sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
